The Chicagoland Market is Going Strong Heading into Fall
Many homes that were for sale at the end of summer have sold. The foreclosure market has dwindled substantially and regular home sellers are having a lot of luck right now. Because buyers are so active and we haven't seen much of a jump in inventory, we're seeing prices rise across the board.
As the fall carries on, the activity will go down - but sales will stay strong. During this time we typically lose the tire kickers who like to look at homes with no real intent to buy. Our inventory will probably stay stable and there will be opportunities to get top dollar for your home, because buyers are more serious.
It's not too late to sell your home - in fact, these are ideal conditions for doing so. If you're looking to buy, on the other hand, you're going to have to work aggressively to get a great home. The best properties will sell quickly and near their list price, so be prepared to play to win.
